COACHING
Nature-based play as a facilitator of emotional patterns. Objectives to develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and improve communicative abilities.
PLAY NATURALLY FACILITIES CONNECTION AND EMPATHY. Supports conflict resolution through positive reinforcement and boundary setting. Family coaching is offered in trios:
1. solo with kid(s)
2. solo with parent(s)
3. whole family
Play is our primary objective - indoors or out. Water or snow play on the river or mountain, physical play through games, or imaginative play with dress up all facilitate emotional expression.
ADDITIONAL OBJECTIVES DEEPENING:
AWARENESS - recognize and name emotional energy non-judgmentally.
ALLOWANCE - understand how to create safe space, allow emotions to arise through breath, visualization, and embodiment.
ACCEPTANCE - release through perspective sharing and reflective journal prompts.
Emotional inquiry through:
1. LEARNING: a small dose of psychology and neuroscience unmasking the emotions that take center stage.
2. PLAYING: guided visualization, games, or embodiment techniques help bring the target emotion to the forefront.
3. RELEASING: through guided techniques, express and release emotions arising. Deepen self-awareness, allowance, and acceptance.
4. REFLECTING: witness and share experiences as a group. After workshops, self-reflective journaling deepens learnings to strengthen self efficacy.
